We are there when animal welfare requires immediate attention.
We know that livestock emergencies happen when you’re least expecting it. When an emergency arises, each situation is different, and our goal is to work with you to find the best possible solution for your animal, the farmer, and the end product.
How Emergency Requests Are Handled
When you contact us, we’ll review the circumstances and determine the best course of action. This may include:
- Accommodating the animal in-house at our facility, when possible.
- Coordinating with trusted mobile slaughter partners, if appropriate.
- Scheduling the animal into our regular processing days when feasible.
Our preference is always to handle emergencies in-house, as this provides the most consistent results, food safety assurance and cost control.
Scheduling & Cost Considerations
We will always be transparent about availability and costs before proceeding.
- Regular slaughter days: Mondays and Wednesdays.
- Joining the regular schedule is the most economical option when an emergency animal can safely wait.
- Outside regular days:
- Pricing varies depending on timing, labor, and logistics.
- Emergency processing outside Monday or Wednesday is based on staff availability.
